  1. This my gripe. I just want to do the job. A great job. I want to leave your house as a clean and sanitized as a hospital room, but that's it! I don't care about knowing your pets, your kids, your wife, or husband. I just want to do a good job, get fairly paid and leave. If you want me back, fine, but I don't want a friendship, relationship or conversation. Just the job and remuneration for my labor!

  2. I clean a house every week it has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I clean the intire house upstairs and down. I clean all sheets and bedding every week, dust, mop, clean all bathrooms toilets and showers. I do the vacuuming and take out all trash. I clean the laundry room. Clean down the appliances and washer and dryer. I have a flat rate of 100.00. Am I selling myself short? This house on one floor is approximately 1200 square ft.

  3. I do cleaning business on a side. I have 2 clients only. I always feel that I am not paid enough. So one day, I told one client 200 dollars. And they seem not happy about it. But I do not care if they will call me again or not. It is very demanding job. I am needing a surgery for CTS. I do not think I overprice them. She has a big house. 3 bedrooms (master bedroom, son’s room, guest room) and 1 office room. They have 2 bathrooms and 1 powder room. Plus kitchen and living room. Laundry room and she wanted me to include the back porch and garage. It took me 6-8 hours cleaning and me asking 200 is too much? I came home aching from head to toe, It is not worth it. They only gave me 110 before. So pricing right upfront is really vital if you started cleaning business. Do not expect they will pay you right because of your hardwork. They will not know and feel your hardship. All they know is it is easy job and you ask too much!

  4. Hi l been doing house cleaning for 4 years they always call me on phone for a prices l always tell then let me go and take a look first then l give you so we talk about prices sometimes customers said is to much ok l said how much you trying to paid how much is your budget so l said ok for that prices we do less cleaning so they tell me ok sound good and they accept most of them they ask me is we can go back in two weeks and clean Again for that same prices that’s how l been busy sometimes l tell my that lady’s you know what it only going to take us under 15 minutes let’s cleaning under extra room for same prices and my customers are very happy and we evens they give us a tip and we been recommended to others houses we been blessing we are make in good money l always try to be fair l have my business regristar and insurance

  5. I once cleaned a house and the owner rented out for a ball games and such like a hotel. 4 beds 3 full bathrooms rooms 7 beds. I ask $200.00. They wanted to pay only $150.00 and I had someone helping me clean it. With 2 people it took all day and they thought $200.00 was to much. We washed all bed clothes and towels and made beds back up got rooms ready for next guess plus all the other cleaning I see now $200.00 was really cheap. I asked other house cleaners what they would charge they said no less than $300.00. Do you think I was unreasonable.

  6. Hello Angela,
When is it okay to choose to switch from a flat rate to hourly, after you have done a job. I offered both, the client went with the flat,. The job took 2 hours less than it would have cost them hourly.
